I've been to Croatia on holiday.
I wouldn't go again because, while it's very nice and people are very friendly, as soon as you get talking the topic turns to the Serbs, Montenegrans, Albanians and Macedonians. And not in a nice way because they really seem to get a kick out of hating them. In fact, if you steer the subject to the neighbouring village, the mood doesn't seem to get any lighter...
You from the Balkans by any chance mentor?

And Turkey is being pressured by refugees from Syria. As is Lebanon, where many wounded Syrian refugees are widely seen begging on Beirut's streets.

Europe's front line is Greece....unfortunately we are receiving incredible pressure from Turkey where 2 million refugees are waiting to enter Europe....FYROM is only a corridor for them to cross and disperse in the rest of Europe

Macedonia is not in the eu so they are not really our front line.

Nothing against the Slavs and the Albanians...just setting the record straight....communist Yugoslavia of Tito coined the term "Macedonia" for their southern provinces after WWII for political reasons and having set eyes on conquering northern parts of Greece, the region we Greeks have been calling Macedonia since ancient times

The Persians ( made up of thousands of Syrians) were not involved in the 1066 invasion of England. Stick to what is relevant.

And he needs to get his facts right because this has nothing to do with any kind of military invasion. Any talk of Xerxes here is pure bullshit.

No, I want to discuss the Asian (and African) invasion of Europe. (And ultimately England) After all this is the beginning of a process that will affect all of us.

The self proclaimed "Macedonians" of Fyrom have absolutely no relation to the Greek Macedonian Alexander the Great....they are a nation of Slavs and Albanians

Perhaps you would like to discuss this in the light of the Peace of Westphalia and the international order that emerged from it? At least I'd say it's more relevant than Xerxis and the Persian invasions of Antiquity.

I didn't think I've ever heard of an army fighting off invaders with sticks and fireworks before. Funny to watch but they're our front line ffs.

Not today, wanker. I've got loads of time on my hands. If political and historical discourse is too much for you just ignore and carry in picking your nose.
